However, extensive farming has led to soil erosion and landslides, impacting local communities. With your support, Climate Wise partners with Veritree, One Acre Fund, the Rwandan Government, and local farmers to promote sustainable agroforestry. This initiative provides smallholder farmers with financing, training, and expertise to boost productivity, soil health, and climate resilience. Agroforestry in Gatsibo is a crucial step toward reducing hunger and poverty, building sustainable livelihoods, and strengthening communities against climate change. Through partnership we have supported in distributing over 20 million tree seedlings in 2023, benefiting 733,817 farmers.
