My name is Holly, I’m in my third year at Durham University reading combined honors in social sciences (specializing in History and Geography). I was born and raised in Zimbabwe where I was fortunate to live amidst beautiful landscapes and African wildlife. My childhood undoubtedly promoted my interest in conservation, as demonstrated by current research on community conservation projects in Zimbabwe for my interdisciplinary dissertation. My experiences in Southern Africa have also deeply impacted how I view the current planetary crisis, specifically regarding climate injustice. I want to be part of an effort to mitigate the impacts of climate change in the Global South, where marginalized communities are expected to be worst affected.
